Translanguaging as a right and as the key to success for EAL students

Our EAL students are emerging multilingual and international citizens. They are best served by developing a high level of proficiency in English as well as maintaining a high level of competence in their home language. This presentation introduces translanguaging as part of a pedagogy that not only ensures EAL students achieve greater success in English language lessons but also contributes to their greater wellbeing and international mindedness. At the same time it positions schools and educators to be pioneers in the evolving world of international education.
